Zinc anodes can be problematic when used in
fresh water. Zinc hydroxide, an insulating layer
of film, builds up and covers the zinc anodes
causing failure in their corrosion protection.

of zinc anodes making your vessel’s over all
weight lighter, allowing better performance.
Aluminum anodes last up to 50% longer than
zinc anodes due to the electrochemical capacity
being 3x’s greater than zinc’s electrochemical
capacity.

low driving potential per pound contributing to
