For individual gear replacement, you must use the Standard Duty gears. In Reverse Gear & Clutch Set - 26 Teeth
1991 OMC’s large dia. prop shaft utilizes a thrust washer (included in gear 22652 OEM: 437297 1978-1980 Rev. Gear & Clutch Set
set). Discard the thrust washer when using the small diameter prop shaft.

This Gear Set is for OMC 1978-1985 with mechanical shift. Many 1978-1980 OMC Stringer (1978-1985)
OMC hydraulic shift lower gearcases have been replaced with the 1981-1985
mechanical shift lower gearcase. The 1978-1980 hydraulic shift gear sets are
still available, GLM No. 22620.
